Pendant Hanging Fixture

Best way to convert a recessed light into a pendant?

I have three recessed lights (made by the manufacturer, 5 years ago), I would like Pendant lights turn. I know of three options: - conversion kit light portfolio ($ 45, but the limited shade selection) - Well Hung Light: $ 150 or less in line, wide range of tones - The Can Converter (converter only): $ 48 incl. shipping on-line (I know I've seen at Lowe's, may be less there), plus the cost of the couple, a pendant of questions: - any experience with any of these? - Would it make sense to get the cheaper kit portfolio and then return to the shadow (the screens are interchangeable with nuances you might see in a hardware store)? I'm not willing to spend $ 100 + for light and light is likely to hang out. I have also replaced many light fixtures, but I'm not Bob Vila. Thanks

I'm not Bob Vila ... just a housewife in middle age I was tired of my recessed lights ... tried the conversion kit of the portfolio in my kitchen ... LOVED IT! ... I went and bought 4 more ... have been slowly changing with most of my lights. A little difficult at first but once the hang of it look great ... have had many compliments. For a limited choice of shades ... I found some beautiful shades for sale and changed ... almost a standard size (look at the clearance section .. I have a shadow incredile for cheap land ... the real part of the lamp of which he was screwed, but the shadow was in perfect condition!) Good luck!
