Can I convert a recessed light in power to a system of runway lights?

My hall has 5 recessed can lights, each with a 75watt bulb operated on the same switch. I would like to install a 5-track halogen bulb in the middle aisle to light the wall art. Can I remove the bulb and insert the carbon filter support means, cut the wires to the bulb receptacle and use the same wires to the light energy of the track. The item with 5 light bulbs consume 150 watts through a low voltage transformer. Is it safe? The boat light label says 75-watt maximum.

Without using more amps on the circuit, it it is safe. You can even find a track with an attachment plate including at least one of the openings can. Then buy earplugs to others if your intention is to stop using them. Find the joists / studs on the roof to fix the issue of liability. If the wiring is screwed to either party may, may not need to cut at all, but surely to turn off switch for the process. Rev. Steven
