help! lighitng wiring accessory needs help?

I just bought a projector from IKEA that "requires the installation wiring" of my bedroom so I can not exactly a hole in the wall. Is there anything you can buy at Home Depot that has a switch (with regulator function) that is connected to cables, so you can connect to an electrical outlet? Thank you!

buy an extension cord, a single band box of a dimmer switch and plates .... Check cable is sufficient to get from where youwant the place where you plug in the side of the container cut the cord attached to light about whether the best place to cut installing cable switch box, switch, plug cover and there you have provided the connections are correct
